Unsightly Electrical Cords
You Can't Do Without Them, so Hide Them
Don’t you just hate to see those electrical cords?
I have tried everything to hide unsightly electrical cords: I have poked them down between the carpet and the baseboard (not very successfully, I might add,) painted brown cords cream to match the carpet, painted white cords brown to match wood floors, taped them, and tacked them. I have even taped the lamp cords to the back of the legs of my console table so that they don’t show! Ok – I have a thing about electrical cords. I admit it!
When I was in the process of refurbishing my dining room light fixture, I found and purchased a cord cover. It is like a ponytail scrunchie, and I put it over the chain that goes from the ceiling to the light fixture….(I wanted to get rid of that shiny brass chain!) It was then that I decided that I would see “cords, no more!”
Cord covers come in different colors and different fabrics, and they help disguise that ugly cord that extends from even the most beautiful lamp!

Last, but Not Least
A quick and easy way to create a handsome cord cover is as follows"
1. Purchase a good quality two-sided tape. Wrap the tape around the cord that you would like covered.
2. Prior to application, go to your favorite fabric store and purchase ribbon that matches the room in which the device will be placed.
3. Wrap the cord in the ribbon. The ribbon is held in place by the two-sided tape.
If you take your time and wrap the cord evenly you will have a very attractive and functional cord cover.
