I love my sweeper! (Where I come from, that's what you call a vacuum cleaner!)

About a year ago, I didn't feel my sweeper was picking up very well. I went shopping one weekend, and I decided to buy a new one. I let the salesman "sell" me one rather than just buying one on my own.

This guy knew his stuff. He could talk about every sweeper in the store, and he did demonstrations and gave me his spiel. I finally asked him what he would buy if he could have any sweeper in the store, and he pointed out the one I ended up buying.

OK - listen to this... I took my new Dyson "Animal" home, and did the easy assembly. I couldn't wait to sweep those floors. I had just had the house.

lcleaned on Friday, and I bought the sweeper on Sunday. I decided to see how much "dirt" I would collect in just one room, and the results were amazing. There was about a half inch of grey dust in the bagless container when i was done! Now....I consider myself a pretty clean person, and the carpet had been swept only about 48 hours before I brought the new sweeper home.... I was shocked at the results.

I reason I chose the "Animal" over other Dyson models is because I have a cat. I am continually amazed that Sugar has any hair left on his chubby body when I see all the cat hair in the sweeper chamber each time I use it. Also, since the attachments are so handy and easy to use (once you figure them out), that I use them all the time! No more cat hair on the floors or the furniture!

lSince then, I have just swept up a storm. I love how easy it is to empty the chamber, how light-weight and easy it is to carry around, and I especially like the fact that you can sweep the stairway without carrying the vacuum with you, because it has a 17 foot hose on the attachments. It is also designed so that it won't fall over if you tug on it too hard. This vacuum cleaner is well worh the money, and I give it my highest recommendation!

I love my stove!l

I recently made a decision to replace all of my kitchen appliances. Mine were fourteen years old, and they were worn out! I also wanted stainless steel. I was a thrifty shopper on this purchase because I was looking at spending several thousand dollars. So...I started watching the sales.

I had a few specifications that I knew I wanted, and one was a duel fuel stove. The reason? Well, I love a gas cooktop, but I prefer an electric oven. I really didn't want to re-configure my kitchen cabinets by adding a cooktop and a separate oven, and since I was replacing a "slide-in" model, I wanted one the same size.

Jenn Aire and and Fridgedaire were two brands I found that make the stainless, duel fuel, slide-in range. I chose Fridgedaire (model# FCS366EC) due to it's lesser price. I also added a warming drawer to my range, and I haven't been sorry.

I saw an ad saying that if you purchased three or more appliances, you could ger a 20% discount at Sears, and since they carry all brands, I checked them out. Even though they didn't have the stove I wanted in stock, they ordered it, and it was delivered to the store before my installation date. My only disappointment was that since I previously owned a total gas slide-in, there was no 220 outlet behind the stove, so I had to hire an electrician to put one in, Oh well, it's only money!

I love the black porcelain top on this range because it is so easy to keep clean. It has a high btu burner that makes cooking in large pots much faster. I use the convection conversion bake all the time because it makes cakes and cookies cook more evenly, and it speeds up all baking. I really like all of my new appliances, but the duel-fuel stove is a real treat for me!
